Our Story

Virginia Beach Junk Pros was built around a single frustration we heard from customers repeatedly: junk removal companies that give one number on the phone and a different number when the truck shows up. We started with a different approach — show up, see what's there, write it down, and commit to that number before lifting a single item. We carry from inside. You don't stage items at the curb, at the door, or in the hallway. We go into any room, any floor, and carry out from wherever the items sit. This is the full-service model — not a "curb haul" dressed up as junk removal.

Donation routing, not default landfill. Usable furniture and household goods are routed to Virginia Beach-area donation centers before going to the landfill. Electronics go to certified e-waste processors. We divert from the landfill wherever the material genuinely qualifies — not just as a sales pitch, but as actual routing in our operation.

Military family scheduling priority. PCS move timelines are real constraints. We understand that a family on military orders has a hard report date that doesn't flex. When a military family tells us they have a deadline, we treat it like a deadline.

Virginia Mattress Recycling: Mattress removal is routed through Virginia's mattress recycling program, diverting mattresses and box springs from landfill to material recovery facilities.

What We Don't Do

We don't haul hazardous materials — paint cans with liquid paint, chemical drums, motor oil, pesticides, asbestos-containing materials, or medical waste. These require specialized handling and licensed contractors. We'll tell you clearly during the estimate walkthrough if anything you have falls outside our scope, and we'll point you toward the appropriate resource.

We don't give binding prices over the phone. We can give you a rough range for common jobs to help you budget, but the number you commit to is the number from the on-site written estimate — not a phone estimate that becomes a "base price" when the crew arrives.

We don't skip the refrigerant recovery step on refrigerators and freezers because a customer wants a faster or cheaper haul. Federal law requires it; our EPA certification obligates us to it; and we're not going to create a federal violation to save a few minutes.

How We Got Here

Virginia Beach Junk Pros grew out of direct experience with what the local junk removal market was getting wrong: inconsistent pricing, non-certified appliance hauling, crews that showed up unprepared for the actual job scope, and a general lack of accountability between what was promised on the phone and what happened on the job day. We built our operation specifically around those failure points. The written-quote model, the EPA certification, the full-service interior carry-out policy — each one addresses a specific problem we saw repeated in the market before we launched.

Hampton Roads is a market we know well, with specific characteristics that reward local expertise: the military turnover cycle, the coastal appliance wear pattern, the hurricane season debris cycle, the aging housing stock in the established suburbs. We didn't learn these patterns from a franchise operations manual — we learned them by doing the work here.
